Autumns on the Spey Plate - To Be Auctioned With Proceeds To Benefit Casting For Recovery

The Autumns on the Spey Plate project was promised to Casting For Recovery (CFR) from the first, and took 2 years in the making.

(This is how the flies arrived before being mounted and framed for auction)

All over the world classic tiers find these Autumns on the Spey patterns fascinating and still enjoy using them!! There are many fly fishers and tiers who would LOVE to own this plate inspired by the A E Knox classic. The Plate has contributions from 16 Great tiers across the world, each making a distinct contribution, some tied in hand , some to be fished , tied with substitutes, or 5* luxury, authentically tied . Each fly is distinctive.

CFR is such a good charity it combines women, fishing and cancer,

Just after Sarah Briston started this collection her lovely mum found out she had terminal cancer, she loved to hear all about fly tying and fishing in Speyside so Sarah dedicated the collection to her.
