Your Travel Buddy, a Michigan based internet travel provider introduces, Let’s Get Hunting, a social network for hunters. It’s like Facebook for hunters. You can help build a community of Hunters that you can discuss and share stories on Hunting.

Your Travel Buddy is a family of online travel booking services including flights, hotels, cruises, car rentals, vacation packages, all inclusive vacations and adventure travel. Your Travel Buddy Adventure Travel sells a host of adventure travel options to over 10,000 destinations including big game hunts from across the world.

Social networking has become all the rage over the last few years with the use many popular general topic social networking and status sites such as Facebook and Twitter.

When it comes to online social networking, websites are used. These websites are known as social sites. Social networking websites function like an online community of internet users. Depending on the website in question, many of these online community members share common interests in hobbies, religion, or politics. Once you are granted access to a social networking website you can begin to socialize. This socialization may include reading the profile pages of other members and possibly even contacting them.

“We decided on the hunting theme to fill a void. We believe there is a tremendous market for a hunting social network as there is an estimated 25 million hunters nationwide”, says Brent Vanderstelt, founder of Your Travel Buddy.

"The actual hunting population ranges from 23 million to 43.7 million", according to The National Survey of Fishing, Hunting and Wildlife-Related Recreation, which used 2001 data, much of it from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service... "Much false or misleading information on these numbers is often cited by critics of hunting. But it is the task of the USF&W Service to gather and keep track of the actual numbers, so it is their information our decisions must be governed by", states Brent.

However, the actual numbers of people becoming hunters is dropping each year. For every 100 hunters who no longer hunt due to an encroaching age, health issues, or passing away, on average only about 69 new hunters join their ranks.

“It’s our hope that by tapping into the popularity of social networking that we can increase the number of hunters nationally and make the sport what it once was. As we grow our membership base, we hope to add member benefits such as travel discounts, featured big game hunts, and other discounts on everyday purchases, such as hunting gear. Our goal is to add value to our members” says Brent.

Hunting and sporting goods manufactures, hunting guides and outfitters are also encouraged to join and create a free membership as this new hunting social network will provide a laser sharp marketing and/or distribution channel to will reduce or almost eliminate traditional advertising means.

With Let’s Get Hunting Social Network members will be able to share hunting photos, hunting videos, wild game recipes, reviews, hunting guides, forums, and online classifieds and most importantly, meet new hunting buddies.

Fellow MALE and FEMALE hunters or outdoor enthusiasts are encouraged to join Let’s Get Hunting today.
