Field & Stream Magazine has an annual fishing contest each year that began in 1911. They present honor and award badges for fishermen and hunters. The Award badges are part of their annual contest. The honor badge is given for meeting a minimum size. . .The angler has to send in an affidavit of their catch, and a picture.
I just received a Field and Stream Big Fish Award for meeting a minimum size for Salmon.
Drexel Grapevine Antiques has quite an extensive collection of them – visit http://www.drexelantiques.com/fieldandstream.html

Congratulations on getting the award. Your site has been doing well by the posts I have been seeing.
I don't comment much because I don't know !@#$ about fly fishing but I am reading because I am seriously thinking of trying it this coming year and want to learn.
Congrats on your cool award from F&S! What size is that pin? Hat size? Lapel size? Pewter? What size was your Salmon?
The pin is about the size of a U.S. quarter coin. It appears to have a antique brass finish. I believe that Salmon was approx. 36" long. I think they go by size of species for the location caught - and I caught this Salmon in Michigan on the Muskegon River.
Thanks for your feedback Rick - I have met so many awesome people/anglers since I started fly fishing and I wouldn't change it for the world - especially through www.getreeled social sight for anglers. I have discovered that anglers, in general, seem to be more genuine caring people towards one another, and I would assume that it is the same for hunting as well.
